Shadows and Smoke

For people who know me, they know that I was a HUGE fan of the short lived television series, FX the Series. The show was based on the two movies starring Brian Dennehey and Brian Brown. In the TV version, Australian actor Cameron Daddo (who I had a crush on) and Canadian actress Christina Cox (who later went to play Vicki Nelson on Blood Ties, another short lived favorite of mine) were the main actors playing special effect wiz Rollie Tyler and his assistant Angie Ramirez.

The show was cancelled after its second season and my heart was broken. But now it's being released FINALLY on DVD in Canada. Here's the announcement from tvshowsondvd.com, which, BTW, is a great place to go and vote for your favorite long-dead TV show to come to DVD. Hey, it worked for FX!

It can be pre-ordered from Amazon.ca. I can't really explain why I love the show so much. But I'm just absolutely giddy that it is finally going to be in my hot little hands. Wee confetti!!

Sigh, I know it's been awhile since I posted this story. It would help if there was an FX the Series community but I don't know if there is. I don't even know if anyone is reading but once I start something I really try to finish it. Plus, it bugs me when I find a story somewhere and find out it's been left incomplete.
